Monday 8/25

Ugh. Not only is this not Lesson #1, but its late.

Hi! So, today is not lesson #1, but it will be a funny story.

I'm gonna tell you my most embarrassing moments.

#1: Livestream

I do livestreams on occasion over at www.younow.com/MaiaEliana. And I was doing a singing livestream one time and got up, wearing a dress, to talk to my mom for a second. I forgot that I was wearing a dress, and flashed everyone who was watching. And naturally, this was the 1 livestream where I actually ended up trending because like 60 people were watching me. SO, I flashed my underwear to 60+ people.

Fuck.

#2: Camp 1

I have been going to a certain camp for 7 years, and a lot of embarrassing things happened to me there. This is the earliest thing I can remember.

Every summer, the age groups between ages 12 and 16 do a show. In Hebrew, because it is a Jewish camp.

So, my first show was Aladdin, in Hebrew, of course. And I played Jasmine #3.

Who sang "A Whole New World".

With a boy.

In front of 300+ people.

I was teased for weeks.

I'm still occasionally teased, 4 years later.

#3: Camp 2

Same camp, the next year.

It was Friday, meaning Friday night services. And I was borrowing a maxi dress from a friend. Who was much taller than me.

It was midway through services, and I decided that I was thirsty. So, I asked my counselor if I could go back to the bunk and refill my water bottle. She said yes.

So, I grab my water bottle, slide past my friends, and start to walk up the stairs. But, naturally, my foot gets caught in my skirt. I try to step...

And faceplant.

In front of the oldest kids in camp.

My counselor from this year, Sarah, says that she remembers it.

But not only did I faceplant in front of the oldest kids, but I dented my favorite water bottle, and got my friend's dress really dusty.

#4: Camp 3

This year, my age group did service projects every Wednesday. We were to wear nicer clothing because we were going into the "real world". I was wearing a skater dress that looked like an old lady's sofa.

And I was walking around, waiting for the counselors to tell us we could get on the busses, holding a fan because it was like 100 degrees, it felt like. I was walking around off the edge of the pavement porch, holding the fan, and just pacing back and forth, when all of a sudden-

SPLAT!

I was on the ground, covered in dust, in pain.

With everyone around me.

My things were scattered around me, the batteries from my fan rolling next to my glasses. Someone began to pick them up and someone else grabbed my arm and helped me up.

"Okay, Maia, I'm just gonna walk you down to the Marp (AKA the infirmary) but first you have to stop crying, okay?" said my counselor. She began to walk me down. I turned around as we went to see literally everyone in my age group watching me hysterically sobbing.

Best part?

Both my mom and my younger brother were there.

And I now have scars all over my knee from that face plant and my glasses are crooked.

So, that's my four most embarrassing moments.

I hope you enjoyed learning some stuff about me. Feel free to make fun of me.

Have a nice day.
Maia
